A Haven in the Hardwood
Our land lay in virtually untouched splendor before 1850, with laurel and hardwood wildly responding to sun, rain, wind and natural selection of the hardiest. Men chopped and furrowed, converting the enriching spiritual beauty to sources of material support. Our rural community, nestled between mountainous ridges, incorporates the songs of birds, towering trees with peaceful homes, and the inspiration for knowledge with accomplishment.
